Main Resources & Timeline
Get an overview of the most important SIGN DE and DSFinV‑K ressources and a typical timeline.
Main Resources
In order to successfully integrate the DSFinV‑K, you will need the following core resources:
Resource | Description |
---|---|
Managed Organization / Organization (Management API) | In most cases, you should create an Organization for your company, and a Managed Organization for every location (store). Your first account and the first Organization must be created via the fiskaly Dashboard. Following Managed Organizations should be created via the Management API. |
TSS (SIGN DE API) | A TSS (Technical Security Systems) is needed for signing transactions with SIGN DE. You need at least one TSS per location. The number of TSS instances should be determined based on the number of PoS used and the frequency of transactions created. |
Client (SIGN DE API) | A Client corresponds to a PoS (Point of Sale), also referred to as a cash desk or a till. A Client can be connected to only one TSS. |
Transaction (SIGN DE API) | A Transaction corresponds to a sales transaction. |
Cash Register (DSFinV‑K API) | A Cash Register corresponds to a PoS (Point of Sale), also referred to as a cash desk or a till. It's an equivalent of a SIGN DE Client. |
Cash Point Closing (DSFinV‑K API) | A Cash Point Closing is a summary of processes within a Cash Register for a specified timeframe (usually a day). |
Export (DSFinV‑K API) | Exports include the data of one or more Cash Point Closings. The structure and format of the Exports is defined by law. |
Optional: Vat Definition (DSFinV‑K API) | All Vat rates defined by law are already provided in the DSFinV‑K API. These are sufficient for most taxpayers. Optional VAT Definitions can be added if necessary for individual circumstances. |
Optional: Purchaser Agency (DSFinV‑K API) | A Purchaser Agency is needed in case amounts are recorded on behalf of a third party (e.g. ‘shop-in-shop’). |
Timeline
Most customers begin with integrating the SIGN DE. Once a workflow of processing transactions is established, the technical integration of the DSFinV‑K can be started.
The most time-consuming part of this integration involves mapping your existing system's data and processes to meet the DSFinV‑K requirements: this means adjusting how your current system operates and organizes its data in order to comply with DSFinV‑K standards.
The creation of Cash Registers is the first step in the integration of the DSFinV‑K.
In some specific scenarios, it might also be necessary to create additional VAT Definitions (only necessary if vat rates other than the system vat rates are needed) or Purchaser Agencies (if revenue is received on behalf of third parties).
Based on our customers' experience, depending on your specific case, integrating the complete SIGN DE and DSFinV‑K workflow can take from one week up to 3 months.
Once the setup is completed, you can proceed with creating Cash Point Closings.
