Introduction

fiskaly delivers cloud-based fiscalization solutions across multiple countries and offers a compliant e-invoicing service. This guide is intended for existing fiskaly customers extending their current SIGN integrations as well as for new customers implementing e-invoicing with fiskaly for the first time.

e-invoicing refers to the creation, transmission, and receipt of invoice data in a structured electronic format that allows electronic validation and processing by software systems. Valid e-invoices are based on machine-readable data models, such as XML, and are designed for system-to-system exchange.

Within Europe, e-invoicing requirements are shaped by a common semantic framework, including the EN 16931 standard, combined with country-specific extensions, formats, and transmission models. Compliance therefore requires the ability to generate, receive, and process e-invoices that conform to both European and national rules.
