Introduction to fiskaly SAFE

The fiskaly SAFE service enables compliant archiving of fiscal data via API or the fiskaly HUB (coming soon). It is designed to meet legal requirements for long-term storage of electronic records.

The service offers two product options:

SAFE

Provides automated archiving of fiscal data from connected fiskaly services (e.g. SIGN or DSFINVK DE) via the fiskaly HUB (coming soon). No manual upload is required. Data is archived based on the configured export frequency.

SAFE flex

Offers full flexibility through a standalone API. Users can decide which documents to upload, when to upload them, and define all relevant metadata. This variant supports custom integrations and country-specific data formats.

Customers can choose either one or combine both, depending on their needs.

Both options ensure that archived data is stored securely, unalterably, and remains accessible for audits or internal use. The archived data can be searched, filtered, and exported as needed.
For example, as part of Z3 access (machine-readable data export) during audits by the tax authorities. fiskaly SAFE also supports Z1 access (direct access by auditors) and Z2 access (indirect access by auditors via the taxpayer).
Data is stored in certified Google Cloud data centers in accordance with the legal requirements of the respective country. fiskaly SAFE supports structured fiscal exports as well as procedural documentation and other legally required documents in common formats like JSON, PDF, ZIP, or XML.

This guide provides a practical overview of how to use fiskaly SAFE and SAFE flex. For detailed API reference, please consult the SAFE API documentation.
