Process Types & Business Transaction Types

An overview of process (receipt) types and business transaction types.

Assigning Transaction and Business Case Types

In a Cash Point Closing, every transaction needs to be assigned to one process (receipt) type. Every line needs to be linked to one business transaction type (business case).

The process (receipt) type is provided in transactions[].head[].type (and reflects the recipt_type used for signing), while the business transaction type (business case) is provided via transactions[].data[].lines[].business_case[].type.

Process (Receipt) Types

Each transaction needs to be assigned to one specific process type (receipt type). The process type (receipt type) is reflected in transactions[].head[].type.

The following receipt types can be used:

DSFinV‑K Documentationfiskaly
Beleg (slip)'RECEIPT'
AVTraining (other processes – training)'TRAINING'
AVTransfer (other processes – transfer)'TRANSFER'
AVBestellung (other processes – order)'ORDER'
AVBelegabbruch (other processes – abort receipt)'CANCELLATION'
AVBelegabbruch (other processes – abort receipt)'ABORT'
AVSachbezug (other processes – non-monetary compensation)'BENEFIT_IN_KIND'
AVRechnung (other processes – invoice)'INVOICE'
AVSonstige (other processes – other)'OTHER'
AVBelegabbruch (other processes – abort receipt)'ANNULATION'

The definition of each individual type can be found in the DSFinV‑K documentation provided on the Bundeszentralamt für Steuern (BZSt) - the German Federal Central Tax Office's official site, see Annex B BON_TYP (process type). The documents are accessible in both English and German, though it is worth noting that certain sections may only be provided in the German version.

The DSFinV‑K documents provided by the tax authorities also mention the additional category AVBelegstorno (other processes – cancel receipt). However, this process type is not available for systems connected to a TSS.

Note: The process types (receipt types) available in the DSFinV‑K API are identical to those in the SIGN DE API, see the endpoint Start, update or finish a transaction. It is expected that the same receipt type is used consistently in both APIs for each transaction.

Business Transaction Types (Business Cases)

Each individual line within a transaction is assigned to a specific business transaction type (business case) reflected via: transactions[].data[].lines[].business_case[].type.

Additionally, the aggregated amounts for each business transaction type (business case) are provided in the cash_statement part of a Cash Point Closing, see: The structure of a Cash Point Closing.

The documents are accessible in both English and German, though it is worth noting that certain sections may only be provided in the German version.
